LUMMI RESERVATION, Wash. -- Yesterday kicked off Lummi Nation’s 66th Annual Stommish Water Festival. Events Director Fred Lane says that this is more than just four days of fun and food, the festival has a long lasting historical significance. Events continue today with the youth canoe races along with the moonlight concert. Lane says most of the big events will be held on Saturday and he encourages everyone to come and take part. Festivities come to a close on Sunday with the swan clan dancers performing at 2:00. For a complete list of events and directions to Stommish Grounds, visit www.stommish.com.
