OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Summer is coming to an end and with school coming up, the State Department of Health wants to remind parents of the importance of getting their children immunized. There are certain vaccines that students are required to have to attend school and all of them are available at no cost. Lonnie Malone with the Department of Health says some parents still opt out of getting their kids vaccinated. Malone says parents who do not want to get their children immunized must file an exemption certificate signed by a health care provider. A complete list of vaccinations can be found at the www.doh.wa.gov.
