Bellingham Tea Party Rally Scheduled for This Saturday

BELLINGHAM,Wash. -- The Bellingham Tea Party is holding its second major rally this weekend.

The event is being called “In Defense of Liberty,” and is being held this Saturday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Mount Baker Theatre.

Bellingham Tea Party member Ellen Baker says this tea party rally will feature music, videos, and speakers such as Bob Williams, President of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation.

"Bob Williams is a wonderful speaker.  He is an expert on spending.  He served a number of terms in the Washington State Legislature.  He's talking about the role of the people in government." - Ellen Baker

The Bellingham Tea Party has been growing in popularity since its first “Tax Day” rally in April of 2009.

Organizers say more than 1300 people attended the group’s “9-11” program last September.

Tickets to Saturday’s rally are available at The Mount Baker Theatre’s box office or at www.mountbakertheatre.com.
