Child Porn Sting Reaches Into The Northwest, 8 Arrested

SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro)  -- A man who worked as a substitute bus driver for the Issaquah School District is one of eight suspected northwest sexual predators rounded up in a recent multi-national crackdown on child pornography.

KING 5 News reports U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations ran Operation Orion during the month of May, arresting 190 suspects and rescuing 18 victims of child pornography.

Most of the suspects were from the U.S., but arrests were also made in Argentina, the Philippines, Spain and the United Kingdom.

ICE Director John Morton says many of the cases began as online conversations and prevention needs to start with educating children and monitoring their online activates.
