DOL Announces Shortest Wait Times In Nearly 10 Years

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- If you’ve been at the DMV recently and noticed shorter wait times, you’re not imagining it.

The Washington Department of Licensing announced yesterday that the average wait time at its offices around the state in December was ten minutes.

This is the lowest the department has seen since 2004.

State Department of Licensing spokesperson Christine Anthony says that the average December wait time in Bellingham was about 14 minutes.

Anthony also says that while many DMV services can now be taken care of by drivers online, those who need help in person can log on to the department’s web site to check current wait times.
