Democratic Senator Lautenberg won't seek re-election next year

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic Senator Frank Lautenberg, at 89 the Senate's oldest member, said on Thursday that he will not seek re-election next year.
Newark Mayor Cory Booker, a fellow Democrat, is seen as a front-runner to replace Lautenberg, who represents New Jersey in the Senate.
