Inslee, McKenna Square Off In Debate

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Gubernatorial candidates Jay Inslee and Rob McKenna engage in debate just days before ballots are to be mailed out to Washington voters.

Both McKenna and Inslee touted their plans to create jobs, with McKenna saying he wants to help all businesses by making it less expensive for employers to do business and hire workers.

Inslee says he wants to spur job growth by making it easier for small businesses to partner with researchers to commercialize research and development.

Both candidates say they oppose tax increases as the state is forecast to experience revenue growth in the next several years.
