BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Police are searching for a suspect who tried to rob a Bellingham gas station with garden shears.
Police spokesman Mark Young says early August 20th a white man, about six feet tall pulled out garden shears and demanded money from an employee at the Starvin’ Sam's on Iowa Street.
When the suspect reached toward the cash register the employee grabbed a stapler and hit the suspect’s arm.
He fled the scene without any money and police were unable to track him down.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bellingham Police Department.
