Mount Vernon Woman's Death Linked To Legionnaire's Disease



LAS VEGAS, NV -- A Mount Vernon woman's death is blamed on Legionnaires' disease traced to her stay at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.

Goskagit.com reports 58-year-old Kathleen Tilley died January 2nd at Skagit Valley Hospital, after contracting Legionnaires', a form of pneumonia.

Tilley's death made national headlines and prompted the Southern Nevada Health District to investigate.

Monday, the agency released a report that revealed Legionella Pneumophila bacteria in the tub, shower and sink in the room where she and her husband stayed.

Two other hotel guests also contracted Legionnaires' disease, but recovered.
