While ongoing investigations keep authorities from releasing case details, they say all involve suspects breaking windows to gain access to the businesses.
Officer Mark Young warns merchants to take precautions to help prevent burglaries.
He says business owners should leave a light on and make sure windows allow for clear sightlines inside.
In addition to locking all windows and doors at night, Young recommends testing alarm systems and security cameras to make sure they are in proper working order.
Anyone with information about the commercial burglaries is asked to call the Bellingham Police tip line.
