Some 'Safeway' Lasagna Products Recalled

PLEASANTON, Calif.  (Metro)  -- Some lasagna products sold at Safeway supermarkets, including stores in Washington, are being recalled.

The recall includes about 96,000 lbs. of meat lasagna products containing soy and egg, both known allergens, that are not listed on the packaging.

The products include retail cartons of "Safeway Select Five Cheese Lasagna" with a package code of April 4, 2013, and shipping cases of "Safeway Select Meat Lasagna" with a Best By date of April 4, 2013.

The USDA's Food Safety Inspection Service says the recall is a result of customer complaints, but there have been no reports of adverse effects from the allergens.
