Starbucks is taking steps to “go green” in 2013.
The Seattle based coffee retailer will begin selling $1 reusable cups at its stores starting today.
The company says customers who buy the reusable tumblers will receive ten cents off their purchase each time they refill it.
The move comes after Starbucks faced public criticism from environmental groups urging them to decrease the number of disposable cups and containers that leave coffee shops and end up in landfills or littering city streets.
