LONDON (Reuters) - Britain said on Tuesday it was offering to send up to 240 troops to Mali and anglophone West African countries for training missions, as well as offering to increase logistical support to help France fight Islamist rebels in Mali.

The increased logistical support may include a ferry to transport French troops and equipment to Africa, and allowing France and its allies to use Britain for air-to-air refueling.

If the British offers of help are accepted, the number of British personnel deployed in Africa would rise to over 300.
