It’s time for the 4th annual Whatcom SkillShare Faire–at The Center For Local Self-Reliance and at Fairhaven Park–August 29th and 30th! Every year the faire features short classes, workshops and hands-on demonstrations. Skill sharers range from “experienced elders” to “creative and talented younger folk”!

Popular topics include raising rabbits and poultry; scything; sharpening tools; beekeeping; basket making; archery; spinning and weaving; gardening; food preservation; car and bike maintenance and much more!

The program is rain-or-shine, with ground seating available on the grass, and limited chair seating on the surrounding brick areas. Admission is $5. (Free for ages five and under!)

The next program features entertainment by Amber Darland, followed by the film The Princess Bride!

The exhibition runs through August.
