“Swim To Live” Relay Swim And Memorial Banquet

Josh Fueston Memorial Foundation presents the 5th annual Swim To Live Relay Swim (8am) in Bellingham Bay and Memorial Banquet (6pm). The banquet will feature Guest Speaker Dr. Bridget Cantrell, an expert on the treatment of post traumatic stress.

Josh Fueston Memorial Foundation’s goal is to promote awareness of military post-traumatic stress and to honor families that have lost loved ones to PTSD.

Public Comment Deadline: Bellingham Boatyard Contamination

In an effort to address historic contamination from the former Weldcraft Steel And Marine boatyard on the Bellingham waterfront, the State Department Of Ecology and Port Of Bellingham completed an investigation and published an environmental report, which includes recommendations for cleanup. Call For Artists: 2015 Juried Artist Series And “Inside the Box” Series

The 2015 Juried Artist Series will consist of approximately eight shows, each one a month long. Participation is open to all artists in Whatcom County. Membership with Allied Arts of Whatcom County is required and can be obtained at the time of application.

The Inside the Box Series was created to highlight smaller, special, handmade goods of any medium. These goods will be shown in display cases, and will run the same length of time (4 weeks) as shows in the gallery space. Items considered for display may include but are not limited to jewelry, small sculptures, miniature paintings, art books, etc.
