You can donate directly (no purchase necessary) or round up your purchase to the next dollar. One hundred-percent of the donations received will be awarded to Strong Against Cancer.

Lighthouse Mission Open House & Farewell

This is your chance to have a final chat with The Lighthouse Mission Executive Director Ron Buchinski and his wife Pat before they move to Nebraska.  You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the new Executive Director, Hans Erchinger-Davis. There will be tours of the Lighthouse Mission campus, plus chili and corn bread!  (Tours last about 30 minutes. The last one starts at 6pm)

Pat and I will be leaving Lighthouse Mission on June 30, after 11 years and 11 months of sharing our passion – serving the less fortunate in the Name of Jesus Christ. We now return to our ‘home’ near Lincoln, Nebraska, where we will be able to be a regular part of the lives of our children and grandchildren.–Ron Buchinski

It’s time to bring the record home! Birch Bay Chamber Of Commerce is hosting an all-day Party on the 4th, followed by the record-breaking attempt the following morning.

World-Record Shortcake Coming To Lynden!

Lynden‘s celebrating their 125th anniversary in a big way–by creating the world’s longest fruit shortcake–then eating it, of course! The 1,250-foot-long shortcake–topped with delicious, locally grown strawberries, plus ice cream and whipped cream–will stretch across four downtown blocks, with free servings for all!

The event will follow the annual Farmers Day Parade, an annual celebration of the local agricultural community. (The parade runs from 10:30 am to approximately noon)
