Picnic To Honor WWII Veterans

All veterans of the U.S. or Allied forces, who served between 1940 and 1945 (and their guests) are invited to a Picnic–hosted by various veterans’ organizations. There will be a special musical presentation. Veterans are encouraged to share historical items, pictures and stories!

Whatcom Museum History Sunset Cruises

Whatcom Museum‘s popular History Sunset Cruise program sails into its 32nd year! The tour gives you  a close-up view of parks, businesses, industry and neighborhoods from Bellingham Bay, aboard Island Mariner. You’ll travel down waterways; past shipyards and historic points of interest; fishing activities and the work and pleasure boats; freighters and tugboats that are in the harbor. Harbor seals and water birds are regularly seen. It’s a memorable evening!

Brian Griffin is your tour guide, tying his knowledge of local history with up-to-date facts about bay activities. Click here for more information. Tickets are $35.
