KGMI Morning News Anchor/Reporter

Description: The Cascade Radio Group in Bellingham, WA has a rare opening for a top-notch morning news anchor for heritage news-talk station KGMI-AM. We are a small-market station with major market expectations, so our standards are high as our 2006 Marconi Award and multiple Murrow Awards will attest. Also, Bellingham is regularly named one of the best places to live and work in the US.

Experience: The ideal candidate will preferably have at least five years’ experience in a news-talk format, have the ability to find, write and tell a great story, will have “major-league” on-air talent, understand and embrace the use of social media, work well with our established morning team members, and possess a great attitude. Candidate will have strong broadcast writing skills, on-air interviewing proficiency, digital sound editing experience, and sound news judgment. Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to juggle a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

The Cascade Radio Group, located in Bellingham, WA has a unique opportunity.  We are seeking an energetic Account Executive to add to our already successful team, selling our five radio stations, non-traditional revenue and interactive platforms.  The right candidate must be able to work independently and be goal oriented.  They must be organized and an effective problem solver with excellent writing and presentation skills.  We have a great local presence in the community and active, involved radio stations.  The individual should also be ready to hit the streets to create advertising/promotional partnerships with both existing clients and new local businesses.
