Apple Cup moving back to Saturday in 2014

The Apple Cup football game between Washington State and the University of Washington will return to a Saturday in 2014 after two years of being played the Friday after Thanksgiving. WSU Athletic Director Bill Moos confirmed the move Monday according to the Seattle Times, indicating the game would be played Saturday, November 29 next season.

In 2012 the Apple Cup was played in Pullman the Friday after Thanksgiving, with many students out of town for the holidays. The 2013 game at Husky Stadium was also played the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The Pac-12 is scheduled to release its complete schedule next Monday, with game times not becoming available until all television agreements have been fulfilled.
