AquaSox overcome deficit, win 5-2

PASCO, Wash. – The Everett AquaSox exploded for a five-run seventh inning, erasing a two-run deficit en route to a 5-2 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils Tuesday night. Steven Ewing turned in a quality start going five innings, allowing two rearned runs on six hits. Ewing struck out four and walked three. Richard White earned the win for the ‘Sox and Jose Valdivia picked up the save.

James Zamarripa, returning from a hamstring injury, tied the game with a two-run single and came around to score the winning run on a Dust Devils’ error.

Christian Carmichael had a nice night for the ‘Sox, jumpstarting the Frogs’ rally in the seventh inning, and was on base all night. Carmichael was 2-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored.

The AquaSox (10-2) and the Dust Devils (5-7) continue their series tonight at 7:05 PM at Gesa Stadium.
