BELLINGHAM, Wash. – It’s time for voters across Washington to make their choices.
In Whatcom County voters are deciding four hotly contested County Council races and two seats on the Port of Bellingham Commission.
Statewide, voters are being asked to decide on two state initiatives, one de-regulates the initiative and referendum process and the other would require labeling of foods with genetically-engineered ingredients.
Also on the ballot are five advisory votes on taxes that were passed by the Washington State Legislature.
Ballots for today’s election must be postmarked or placed in drop boxes by 8:00 tonight.
