Bellingham Police kick off annual Night Out Against Crime

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Neighborhoods around the country will gather together next Tuesday, August 6, to build relationships and stand up against crime for Annual National Night Out Against Crime.

Locally, Bellingham Police will be kicking off events with a hot dog social this Friday.

Bellingham Police spokesman Mark Young says the event is an important part of keeping neighborhoods safe and crime free.

The social runs from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Bellingham Police station’s parking lot on Grand Ave.

Representatives from Whatcom 911 Dispatch, Puget Sound Energy, Bellingham Lock and Safe, and Associates Property Management will be there to talk about ways to make homes and communities a safe place.

KGMI will be broadcasting live from the event from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
