Bellingham United F.C. tops Victoria United 3-1 at Civic Stadium

The Bellingham United F.C. Hammers defeated the Victoria United Blues 3-1 Sunday at Civic Stadium. Dad’s who came out to watch the father’s day match-up were not disappointed.

Oscar Jimenez broke a 0-0 tie in the 45th minute off an assist from Chris Jepson and never looked back, pushing their lead to 2-0 in the 61st minute thanks to Kellan Brown’s league leading 12th goal of the season.

Victoria was able to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 87th minute, but only for a moment – because Tye Hastings answered right back with one of his own in the 88th to eventually seal the victory.

Bellingham will next face Khalsa Sporting Club next week on Sunday, June 23rd. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00pm.
