(Orchard Park, NY) — The Buffalo Bills have released quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. The Bills acquired Jackson from Seattle for a seventh-round draft pick last September but he did not appear in any games. Jackson has thrown for 7,075 yards with 38 touchdowns and 35 interceptions in 51 career games with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks.
Jackson started 14 games for the Seahawks in 2011 and threw for career-highs in yards (3,091) and touchdowns (14).
Prior to joining Seattle, Jackson spent his first five seasons in Minnesota, where he passed for 3,984 yards and 24 touchdowns over 36 games and 20 starts.
