SEATTLE, Wash. – A truck driver from Blaine hit and killed a woman sitting in her disabled car on I-405 early yesterday morning.
State Trooper Chris Webb says the 24-year-old Seattle woman had called 911 several times around 4:30 a.m. to say she had struck a deer on the interstate near Bellevue.
Investigators are not certain whether the woman’s car had become disabled after hitting the deer, but she did indicate it had been when she called for help.
Troopers have identified the driver as Kulwinder Singh from Blaine.
They’ve interviewed Singh about the crash and do not believe drugs or alcohol are a factor.
The case remains under investigation.
