EVERETT. Wash. – Boeing is predicting a doubling in the number of commercial airplanes around the world within the next 20 years.
The jet maker made that announcement as part of its annual 20 year forecast.
Boeing says the number of commercial aircraft in operation will likely rise from about 20,000 to more than 41,000 by 2032.
About 60 percent of the demand for those aircraft is expected to come from Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
