Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The Buffalo Bills announced the signing
of free agent quarterback Matt Flynn on Monday after starter Thad Lewis
suffered a sprained foot in Sunday’s 27-24 overtime loss to Cincinnati.
Flynn was released by the Oakland Raiders on Oct. 7 after he lost the
starting job to Terrelle Pryor. He appeared in two games for the AFC West
club and threw for 246 yards with a touchdown and interception.
The LSU product has thrown for 1,329 yards with 10 touchdowns and six
interceptions across six seasons with Green Bay, Seattle, and Oakland.
Buffalo placed rookie safety Jonathan Meeks on the injured reserve/
designated to return list to make room for Flynn. Meeks suffered a lower
leg injury during the first half against Cincinnati.
