Car Crash Starts Fire At Local Corner Store

A speeding car crashed into a convenience store and burst into flames at Northwest Drive and Smith Road Friday night, Oct.18.

The car failed to stop at a stop sign, skidded about 200 feet and crashed into Greene’s Corner Store just after 10 p.m. according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Saint Joseph Hospital. Troopers say the cause of the crash was excessive speed and driving under the influence.
