BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The head of a local drug recovery center says the death of Glee actor Cory Monteith highlights the major drug problem happening right here in Bellingham.
Faith Worthley, who runs Northwest Recovery Clean and Sober Housing, says drug abuse affects many small towns across the country, especially Bellingham.
She says it’s unfortunate that it sometimes takes the overdose death of a celebrity to remind people that drugs are still a major problem in the country.
Worthley says Bellingham is one of the strongest recovery communities in the country because of a large amount of resources available for drug rehab and recovery.
Northwest Recovery Clean and Sober Housing has four locations in Bellingham.
