BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce and Industry is helping local businesses meet the new requirements of Obamacare.

The chamber’s interim executive director Bill Gorman says they want to make sure that all local business owners have the information they need to comply with the healthcare law.

He says there’s a lot of misinformation going around about the Affordable Care Act.

All businesses with at least one employee and at least half-a-million-dollars in yearly revenue must notify their employees about the new health care insurance marketplaces by today.

The chamber has a copy of the notice along with links to important information for employers on their website, www.bellingham.com.
