SEATTLE, Wasxh. – The Washington State Transportation Commission is considering a proposal to name the I-5 Skagit River bridge after a Washington State Patrol trooper who was killed while directing traffic following the bridge collapse.
Sean O’Connell died May 30 after his motorcycle collided with a box truck near Conway as he helped detour traffic around the bridge.
The commission will hold a hearing this morning in Seattle to consider naming the rebuilt bridge after O’Connell.
