SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle police will be out in force during Hempfest this weekend, handing out Doritos to revelers in what’s being called “Operation Orange Fingers.”
Police department spokesman Sergeant Sean Whitcomb tells the “Seattle Times” that he and other officers will hand out one-ounce bags of nacho-cheese chips with attached educational information about the state’s new legal pot law.
Whitcomb says the information will include answers to questions about the nuances of the law.
He’ll take the main stage at Hempfest Saturday afternoon to address the crowd about the Seattle Police Department’s policies regarding marijuana.
