LYNDEN, Wash. – Lynden Police are looking for a violent criminal who they say beat up his former girlfriend while she was holding their baby.
The victim told officers that 20-year-old Visente Galvez-Cruz gave her a black eye and a broken nose after she refused to have sex with him.
Lynden Police Chief Jack Foster says the victim was holding their one-year-old son during the assault.
The baby was not injured.
Galvez-Cruz was about to begin a one year prison sentence for a drive-by shooting at his girlfriend’s parent’s house in May of 2012.
He was out on bail.
Chief Foster says Galvez-Cruz should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who has information to his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
