KENDALL, Wash. – The state is looking to improve the intersection of the Mount Baker Highway and Kendall road in Kendall.
Residents will have the opportunity to look at the state Department of Transportation’s ideas at an open house tonight.
Project engineer Chris Damitio says the intersection is a dangerous combination of highway speeds and slower traffic entering and leaving the roadway.
There will be no formal presentation, but the WSDOT will consider community feedback from the open house when they decide on the final design.
Construction is expected to start in 2016.
The open house is tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kendall Elementary School.
