BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A local car dealership owner is opening up about why the planned sale of his business fell through.
King Volvo owner Frank King announced in February that his business on Iowa Street was being sold to Rairdon Automotive Group.
Rairdon walked away from the sale after they found environmental contamination on the property.
King decided to clean up the contamination and stay in business.
His son, Jason King, now runs the business selling new and used Volvos.
The family used to own the King Nissan dealership, which they sold to Wilson Motors earlier this year, and a Hyundai dealership that was sold to Rairdon in 2009.
