WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Whatcom County Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Mac Setter has announced he is going to retire at the end of the summer.
Sixty-two year old Setter has spent 36 years in the Prosecutor’s Office.
He says the most rewarding part of his job has been working with victims, especially kids, and helping them stand up to their abusers.
Setter says he’s excited to pass the torch to one of the other attorneys in the Prosecutor’s Office.
Setter’s first plan after retirement is to go sailing with his wife down to Mexico.
