MOUNT VERNON, wash. – Trial proceedings continue into a sixth week in the case against a Sedro-Woolley couple accused of abusing their adopted daughter to death.
A pediatrician testified yesterday that 13-year-old Hana Williams died not of malnourishment, but outright starvation.
Williams was discovered dead in her adoptive parents’ backyard in May 2011.
Larry and Carri Williams are charged with homicide by abuse and first-degree manslaughter.
