FBI: Ricin-laced letter to Obama was from Spokane

SEATTLE, Wash. – FBI agents in Seattle say a ricin-laced letter that was sent to President Obama was postmarked in Spokane.

The letter, which was intercepted by the Postal Service on May 22, was sent the same day as ricin contaminated letters mailed to a Spokane post office and a judge in the federal building next door.

The FBI says another tainted letter was sent to Fairchild Air Force Base, and one that hasn’t been found yet was sent to the CIA.

Thirty-eight-year-old Matthew Ryan Buquet was arrested earlier this month for allegedly mailing the letter to the federal judge.
