FERNDALE, Wash. – Ferndale voters won’t decide on a gas tax increase after all.
The Ferndale City Council voted 5-2 Monday to reverse it’s decision in May to put a gas tax increase on the November ballot.
The tax would have brought in an additional $50,000 a year for street repairs.
Two council members changed their votes over concerns of the impact the tax increase would have had on gasoline retailers in Ferndale.
