BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Voters served by Whatcom County Fire District 4 appear to have readily passed an EMS property tax levy.
After the first vote count last night, 63 percent said ‘yes’ while 37 percent said ‘no’.
Fire District 4 serves the rural area to the northeast of Bellingham.
If officially passed, the property tax levy will maintain the fire district’s 24-hour emergency medical call services and save four medics’ jobs.
