(Van Nuys, CA) — Former major league outfielder Milton Bradley is headed behind bars for attacking his wife. The former Seattle Mariner was sentenced to over two and a half years in prison Tuesday after being convicted of repeatedly attacking and threatening his estranged wife Monique. In one incident, prosecutors say the former All-Star went after his wife when she asked him to stop smoking marijuana in front of the couple’s two sons. Bradley is appealing the sentence and is currently free on 250-thousand-dollars bond.
Bradley played for eight teams over his 11-year major league career before retiring in 2011. He was well known for run-ins with umpires throughout his career.
