Former Seattle Seahawk Mike Williams fall from grace continues after being cut from the Canadian Football League. Profootballtalk.com is reporting the Toronto Argonauts have released Williams, the number 10 overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.
Williams’ NFL past can be described as checkered at best. He caught just 37 passes in his two seasons with the Lions and was out of football for two years before he got a second chance with the Seahawks. In 2010 he caught 65 passes for over 700-yards and Seattle rewarded him with a new contract. He was released following a sub-par injury plagued 2011 season.
