Gay pride flag to fly above Bellingham City Hall

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Bellingham Mayor and City Council President will be proclaiming July 12 through 14 as “Bellingham Pride Weekend” at a public ceremony today at 4:00 p.m.

Mayor Kelli Linville says she supports the City Council’s decision to fly the rainbow gay pride flag in front of city hall for the Bellingham Pride Festival.

The Bellingham City Council received the request from community members and voted unanimously to fly the pride flags.

Two rainbow pride flags will be raised in front of City Hall through the weekend.
