GED changes may cause testers to start over

KGMI News Reporting
By Tracy Ellis

OLYMPIA, Wash. – People in the process of getting their GED have only a few weeks to finish or they’ll have to start over.

Starting in the new year, Washington will switch to a new computerized testing system with four sections instead of five.

The results of all the old tests will be discarded.

The new exams will give test-takers almost immediate results, and allows for more retakes.

The $150 testing fee will stay the same.
