KGMI News Reporting
By Karen Taylor

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police say a man tried to abduct a ten-year-old girl in the Columbia Neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

The girl told officers a man pulled up beside her in a forest green four-door vehicle around 1:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of Utter Street and pointed what she assumed was a gun at her from beneath his sweatshirt.

He ordered her to get into the car but she ran home and he drove off.

The girl says the vehicle had tinted windows and a lot of mud on the lower part of the car.

She described the suspect as a man with a “tan” complexion with lots of scratches on his arms and wearing sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bellingham Police.
