LYNDEN, Wash. – The Northwest Washington Fair is having its first annual food drive to benefit local food banks in Whatcom County.
The fair’s general manager Jim Baron says people who bring canned food and drop it off at the entrances will be entered into daily prize drawings.
There will also be a grand prize drawing on the last day of the fair for $500.
The goal is to collect 50,000 lbs of food.
The Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden is August 12 to 17.
