BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham’s Heritage Flight Museum is considering permanently moving to a new hangar at the Skagit Regional Airport.

Director of Programs Kate Simmons says they’ve bought a hangar that is the perfect size to house all their planes, but they are still far from making a formal decision.

The museum is hosting its 2013 Props and Ponies Mustang Show this weekend at their new hangar.

Simmons says this is a ‘test flight’ in the new building to see how the Skagit County community responds.

The event features 100 vintage and modern Ford Mustangs and several vintage P-51 Mustangs, the iconic fighter plane of World War II.

There will be a wine and food tasting fundraiser tonight and the car show and fly day Saturday.
