The University of Washington could only muster 2 hits in a 1-0 loss to Tennessee at the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Despite the Huskies anemic offense, they were able to hold Tennessee scoreless until the bottom of the 7th. Husky starter Kaitlin Inglesby had two on with two out, when she gave up the walk-off single to Tennessee’s Tory Lewis.
Inglesby finished with 6 2/3 innings pitched, allowing 1 run on 9 hits, along with 3 strike-outs and 6 walks.
The Huskies play Michigan on Sunday at 12:30pm.
