Husky WR Williams pays $695 fine for Chelan County citation

The Seattle Times Husky beat writer is reporting UW football wide reciever Kasen Williams paid a fine in Chelan County court related to a misdemeanor of consuming alcohol or marijuana while driving.

According to Seattle Times Husky beat reporter Adam Jude’s twitter feed Williams was cited May 26th, appeared in court June 14th, paid a fine of $695.50 yesterday and the case is closed.¬†Jude also tweeted that court records don’t specifiy if Williams consumed alchohol or marijuana, but it wasn’t enough for him to be charged with DUI.

The University of Washington athletic department has released the following statement from Husky football coach Steve Sarkisian:

“We are aware of an incident involving Kasen Williams in Chelan County on May 26. As a matter of policy, any disciplinary measures taken as a result of this incident will remain internal to the team.”

The athletic department says as a matter of policy, no one at the UW will have any further comment on the matter at this time.
