EVERETT, Wash. – Boy Scouts of America is facing a new lawsuit alleging widespread sexual abuse of children at its camps.
The lawsuit filed yesterday in King County, Washington alleges the organization has for decades conspired to sweep sex abuse allegations under the rug and that it did nothing to prevent the abuse of children at their camps.
The 124-page lawsuit was filed on behalf of 12 people who allege they were abused.
One of the men bringing the suit claims he was abused by three scout leaders.
The case allegations are against the scoutmaster, a camp cook and a business manager.
A spokesman for the Boy Scouts of America declined comment on the specific allegations.
